Henna Temporary Tattoo Aftercare
Muse Face & Body Art (FABA) only uses organic, safe, non-toxic henna and products. Once your henna is applied it takes approximately 1 hour for the henna to dry. We recommend you leave your henna paste on for another 2-8 hours in order to intensify the color and produce a longer lasting effect. (Although, of you have the patience you an leave henna on for 24 hours!)
Peel or scratch off your henna paste with your fingers (lemon juice & essential oils can help, too!) to reveal the orange design on your skin. Don’t worry! The henna will deepen into a richer reddish-brown color over the next 48 hours. We recommend to TRY to avoid contact with water during the first 24 hours after paste removal as this can interrupt the oxidization & darkening process of the henna. If you wish to wash off any henna paste during the first 24 hours, TRY to use lemon juice or essential oils (ie lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree, etc) rather than water. Please note that during the first 24 hours, the henna stain can transfer to other parts of your body or to fabrics if prolonged contact takes place.

Jagua Temporary Tattoo Aftercare
Muse Face & Body Art (FABA) only uses organic, safe, non-toxic Jagua and products. If you are allergic to berries, we do not recommend jagua for you. Jagua is similar to henna, organic product with staining capabilities instead leaving behind a blue-ish black tint.
Jagua will take 30 minutes or up to 1 hour to fully dry. Leave jagua gel on your skin for 3-6 hours. During this time, DO NOT partake in any kind of activity that will cause you to sweat. Sweating with the gel on your skin can cause the lines to blur. Remove the jagua gel after 3-6 hours by washing and rinsing away with warm running water and soap. Make sure all of the gel rinses away from your skin. DO NOT use a loofa or anything that will cause your skin to exfoliate. The jagua tattoo will be a very faint blue color at first. You may think its not working, but DON'T WORRY! This is normal, the jagua stain develops into a dark blue or close to black over the next 24-48 hours (looking like a realistic tattoo!) DO NOT sleep with the jagua gel on your skin! The jagua design can transfer to other body parts and other people during the first 12-24 hours of application. After washing the jaguar gel, you may cover the design with a towel or gauge so that it won’t transfer. Daily showering is fine.
